Dry logs are the key to a really satisfying fire. We aim to provide our customers with peace of mind regarding the quality of our product throughout the entire winter.

We provide a hassle-free service from order to delivery as our repeat customers all over Argyll will testify. We take pride in our logs and in getting them to you dry and ready to burn.

 

Kiln Dried Oak

Our kiln dried and split oak logs have a high calorific value; they are long lasting, dense wood and will burn well. Our logs are evenly sized and as uniform as a natural product can be.

Kiln dried oak logs are ideal for stoves which need to be operated at a high temperature and will be kind to your chimney. They are the best choice if you have an open fire because oak burns hot and doesn’t spit.

Our hardwood is delivered to you under special covers to keep it dry and we’ll book the delivery so you can have your store ready to recieve it. The ash from a hardwood fire can be used as a fertiliser in the garden and as a fuel it is cleaner than coal.

Softwood logs - split in 2016

Our air dried softwood is locally sourced and has been drying in bags for over a year. Best removed from the bag and stacked for a few days the logs are now down to a very low moisture content with slight surface dampness due to condensation

Kindling

Our kindling is made from seasoned soft wood, which burns with a good clear flame generating plenty of heat to start your fire.

We offer bags of kindling, we will deliver or you can collect.

I have been very pleased with the briquettes Argyll Woodfuels delivered to me. We burn them with logs and the extra heat they generate is great, it boosts the temperature of the house and they're wonderful if you come in cold at night. Argyll Woodfuels delivered the quantity we needed in plastic wraapped packages which stacked easily and took up very little space.

We will quote you for delivery of materials you buy from us because each order is considerably different.

We will deliver to Lochgilphead, Campbeltown, Inveraray, Strachur, Dalmally, Tyndrum, Taynuilt, Connel, Benderloch, Appin, Duror and in Oban. We will also deliver to all the island carriers. Please tell us if you would like your order delivered and whether you need it unloaded by hand into storage. If you can tell us how accessible your storage is then we will be able to deliver with the right vehicle and people. If you would prefer to do this by telephone please ring 01631 563271 during business hours.

You are more than welcome to visit our yard to pick up your order, free of charge.
